The crew we book checks each vent and each run of eave. They look for old light mesh that has torn, galvanised mesh that has rusted in the salt air, and vents that were never covered. They also check that the vent frames are sound, since mesh on a rotten frame will not hold. Open eaves are measured and closed with mesh or sheet cut to fit, fixed firmly to the rafters and fascia. Vents are covered with heavy mesh that lets air through but keeps possums out.
